Yes, you can order contact lenses online with a valid prescription, and you can also order cannabis online for same-day delivery or pickup in NYC. At BX Buddiez, we offer licensed cannabis products with online ordering and fast delivery across the city.
Ordering Contact Lenses Online: What You Need to Know
Yes, you can order contact lenses online, but you must have a valid, unexpired prescription. Most online retailers require you to enter your prescription details, including the brand, base curve, diameter, and expiration date. The retailer then verifies the prescription with your eye doctor before shipping. You cannot buy contact lenses in the USA without a current prescription—it's a federal requirement. An expired prescription disqualifies you from ordering, and you'll need to renew it first. Non-prescription (plano) contacts are also regulated; you can't buy them over the counter without a prescription. To order online, follow these steps:
- Get a valid prescription—Schedule an eye exam with an optometrist and obtain a contact lens prescription that includes the brand and specifications.
- Choose a reputable online retailer—Look for a site that requires prescription verification and has clear customer service.
- Enter your prescription details—Input the exact values from your prescription, including the expiration date.
- Wait for verification—The retailer will contact your eye doctor to confirm the prescription is current and accurate.
- Place your order—Once verified, you can order your lenses and choose delivery or in-store pickup if available.
If your prescription is expired, you cannot order online. You'll need to get a new exam first. Some online services offer quick renewals, but they still require a valid prescription from a licensed professional.
Get a Contact Lens Prescription Online to Start Ordering
You can get a contact lens prescription online through telehealth eye exams. These services connect you with a licensed optometrist who reviews your vision history and fits you for contacts. The exam is typically done via video call, and if approved, you receive a prescription that you can use to order lenses online. This is a convenient option if you need a renewal or a new prescription. Here's how it works:
- Find an online eye exam service—Search for reputable telehealth providers that offer contact lens exams in your state.
- Complete a vision test—You'll take a short vision test on your computer or phone, following the provider's instructions.
- Consult with an optometrist—A licensed doctor reviews your results and discusses your needs, including any conditions like dry eyes or astigmatism.
- Receive your prescription—If approved, you'll get a valid prescription with an expiration date, usually one year from the exam.
- Order your lenses online—Use that prescription to purchase contact lenses from any online retailer that accepts it.
This process is legal and convenient, but it's not suitable for everyone. If you have eye health issues or complex prescriptions, an in-person exam is still the safest choice.

Why You Can Trust Ordering Cannabis Online from a Licensed NYC Dispensary
When you order cannabis online, you want to know the dispensary is licensed and reliable. At BX Buddiez, we're fully licensed by the New York State Office of Cannabis Management under the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA). Our license number is OCM-CAURD-25-000297, and we operate legally in the Bronx. This means every product we sell has passed state testing for potency and contaminants, and we follow strict rules for packaging and labeling.
We also prioritize your safety and compliance. We require a valid government-issued ID showing you're 21 or older, and we adhere to New York's purchase limits—up to 3 ounces of flower and 24 grams of concentrates per day. Out-of-state visitors with valid ID can shop with us too. Our online ordering system, powered by Dutchie, makes it easy to browse, pay, and schedule pickup or delivery. You can check our reviews, see our license, and even visit our store at 2935 3rd Ave. in the South Bronx, near St. Mary's Park and Lincoln Hospital.
Choosing a licensed dispensary protects you from unregulated products and ensures you're getting quality cannabis. We're proud to serve the South Bronx, including Mott Haven, Melrose, and Hunts Point, with a team that knows the products and can answer your questions.
Blunt (cannabis)
A blunt is a cannabis product made by hollowing out a cigar and refilling it with flower, using the tobacco leaf wrapper or a tobacco-free alternative like hemp, banana leaf, or palm leaf. Unlike a joint, which uses thin rolling papers, a blunt's thicker wrap burns slower and often imparts a distinct flavor. Blunts are popular for their portability and social sharing, but they do contain nicotine if using a traditional cigar wrapper. For those who prefer to avoid tobacco, tobacco-free wraps are widely available. Whether you're new to blunts or a seasoned smoker, understanding the difference helps you choose the right product for your needs. At BX Buddiez, you can explore a variety of pre-rolls and flower to roll your own, with guidance from our knowledgeable staff.
