Which Online Dispensary Ships to All 50 States? Find Out Here
No licensed dispensary can ship to all 50 states due to interstate cannabis laws. Your best bet is a state-licensed dispensary like BX Buddiez that offers local delivery or pickup, or hemp-derived products that may ship legally.
Which Online Dispensary Ships to All 50 States? The Honest Answer
The short answer: no licensed dispensary can legally ship cannabis across state lines. Federal law prohibits interstate transport of THC products, so any site claiming to ship to all 50 states is either unlicensed or selling hemp-derived alternatives. Here is what you need to know.
- Understand the legal reality. Licensed dispensaries, like ours at BX Buddiez in the Bronx, operate under state-specific regulations and can only deliver within their licensed state. Interstate shipping of cannabis remains illegal under federal law.
- Identify unlicensed operations. Sites that promise nationwide shipping often lack proper licensing and may sell products without testing or quality control. Always verify a dispensary’s license before ordering.
- Check for hemp-derived options. Some companies ship hemp-derived THC or CBD products nationwide because they fall under the 2018 Farm Bill. These are not the same as state-licensed cannabis and may have different potency and effects.
- Use local delivery where possible. If you live in a state with legal cannabis, order from a licensed dispensary that offers local delivery or pickup. For New Yorkers, we offer same-day delivery across NYC and in-store pickup at our South Bronx location.
- Ask for proof of compliance. Before ordering from any online dispensary, request their license number and check with your state’s cannabis regulatory agency. Legitimate businesses will provide this information willingly.
How to Order Weed Delivery Legally and Reliably: Step-by-Step

- Browse the menu – Compare products, prices, and reviews. Many dispensaries, including BX Buddiez, offer online ordering.

- Receive your order – For delivery, the driver will verify your ID at the door. For pickup, bring your ID and order confirmation.
Is It Legal to Ship Cannabis to Your State? Check the Rules
Shipping cannabis across state lines is illegal under federal law. However, hemp-derived products with less than 0.3% THC can be shipped legally. Here's a quick breakdown:
| Product Type | Legal to Ship? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cannabis flower (THC > 0.3%) | No | Interstate shipping is a federal crime. |
| Cannabis concentrates | No | Same federal restriction. |
| Edibles with THC | No | Only within your state. |
| Hemp-derived CBD (0.3% THC or less) | Yes | Legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. |
| Delta-8 THC (hemp-derived) | Varies | Some states have banned it. |
Always check your state's specific laws. The New York State Cannabis Control Board regulates cannabis in NY. For delivery, you must be within state lines.
Staying Safe and Legal: What to Check Before You Order
Before ordering cannabis online, verify these key points to ensure you're dealing with a legitimate business:
- License number – Look for a state-issued license. For example, BX Buddiez holds license OCM-CAURD-25-000297.
- Age verification – You must be 21 or older with a valid government-issued ID. Out-of-state visitors can shop in NY with proper ID.
- Product testing – Reputable dispensaries provide lab results for potency and contaminants.
- Secure payment – Avoid sites that only accept crypto or wire transfers. Credit cards are common, though some dispensaries may have restrictions.
- Delivery protocols – Drivers should check your ID and never leave packages unattended.
