How to Find a Licensed Cannabis Dispensary Near You
Not every store selling cannabis is legal. To ensure you're buying safe, tested products, follow this checklist to verify a dispensary is licensed.
- Check the license. In New York, adult-use dispensaries must have a license from the Office of Cannabis Management. BX Buddiez's license is OCM-CAURD-25-000297.
- Look for the seal. Licensed dispensaries display their license visibly, often near the entrance or at the register.
- Ask for lab results. Legal products come with lab testing for potency and contaminants. A reputable dispensary will share these results.
- Verify the address. Use the official OCM website to search for licensed retailers. The address should match what you see.
- Be wary of unlicensed shops. If a store doesn't ask for ID or sells cannabis without clear labeling, it's likely not licensed.
